That was weird...

About an hour ago my neighbor comes over and asks for some aluminum foil, so I give her the box.  I would have torn off some for her but I'm sick and have been coughing all over the place.  So, she pulled it out and then dropped about 3 feet of foil, including the roll on the ground.  She said it was fine but I insisted she throw it away and take a new piece.  But, she didn't.

So just now, I was sitting at the door smoking, though I guess I could have gone outside since its actually nice outside today.  My neighbor comes over again and says if I ever want to hang out sometime I can go over.  I wasn't quite sure how to respond to that.  I told her I didn't want to be bother but she got a 'oh thats bullshit' kind of look and said she has a kid so shes used to it.  So I told her I'm sick and she said well yeah, when you get better, because my child gets really fussy when its sick.  I obviously immediately forgot the gender of her kid.  Orz.  Can't say I'm thrilled about hanging out with her since she constantly has people going over to her house at all hours of the day.

I bet Jeff is going to have a hissy fit and warn me that shes PROBABLY A DRUG DEALER.  DON'T TAKE ANY DRUGS FROM HER.  HOW ELSE CAN SHE AFFORD A $60,000 CAR?  ETC.

No matter how much your folks bug you about how to live your life, in the end it's your life and you live it the way you want to. Especially, as an adult.

You shouldn't let them bother you too much with what they say and do. My mother nags me all the time about this and that, but she knows in the end no matter what she says, it won't contribute to how I behave or go about my way.

I found that living this way has had 100% better results, financially and socially.

Maybe, it isn't your thing, but what I normally just do is nod and agree with them, but then disregard everything that I agreed to as soon as I part ways with them. I don't bother defending my position or opinions, it's less stressful just to act on them.

Its SO difficult to agree. There was this one incident with my ex(mike), me and our friend(danny) that had a police officer involved. Danny and I had absolutely nothing to do with it. The incident was completely Mike's fault. So after the cop said to Jeff "Compared to Danny, Mike looks like a choir boy."(which was complete bullshit) Jeff told me to never speak to Danny again, etc. I wanted to rage so hard.
