Combo Breaker

I had a real eventful month. RO stuff at the top, other stuff at the bottom. BTW, thanks to everyone who showed an interest in reading/buying those books. I wasn't expecting anyone but ourselves to ever look at them. They're still rough right now, so we'll proof-read the story again and then offer it quietly up on Createspace's store. Hope you guys are still interested by then. O_o

Anyway, RO.

The TI quest is a lot of fun, though kind of tiring. I never got to take advantage of the dragons quest, having no characters that are real useful there. The Ice Titan quest was kind of fun, but getting into mobbing parties was another story. But the TI quests are great since I can take a lot of characters.

And a lot of characters I did.

Joey, the Scholar, is on a team which Sara and I have dubbed The Mage Team. It consists of Joey Madison (Hindsight Scholar), Sana Banana (Sara's Esma Linker) and Widdle Squishy, or Squishy for short (ME/Sanc Priestess). All we need now is a Wizard to really call it a Mage Team. Although Squishy is technically Sara's on her alt account, I play her since it's easier to dual melee/support than spellcaster/support. Anyway, Joey had transed a long time ago and he's 97. It was high time that the other members of the Mage Team fall suit. Sana Banana was 98 and Squishy was 97 at the time, so...




At some point, I needed to get her 2 base levels because...yanno...I'm too lazy and poor to hunt EXP items. Since Squish had some fencer scrolls on her account, Awesome Jiku tanked Squish in Anubis.

After that, Awesome Alex from Palmdale gave Squish 500 Bacillus(!) to get the last 2 job levels, and Jiku gave a HE Battle Manual. I feel like those little green aliens from Toy Story. "You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful." 'cause now I definitely owe them.




Sana hit 99 first, followed by Squishy shortly after. Squishy's going ME/SW/Sanc7, which is kind of a standard build.

Now, going out of order, I got two real awesome pics from art trades. The first was from Aki. I asked her to do a picture of Akito, and not because her username is Aki. xD



Aki captured Akito's personality to a T. Part of the story behind Akito is that he created a Filir using the soul of his dead girlfriend. The picture shows the relationship perfectly (not that kind of relationship xD). Aki has a real cute style and I love Akito's smile the best. I did this in return, though I think she liked it better than me. I tried to incorporate his personality.

Then, the other day, Ninalyn sent in this awesome piece of work. All I can say is...badass. Freakin' badass. I was really impressed by just how much movement + action there was, me being a shonen fan who writes fight scene after fight scene in his stories. xD Check out the pic here since it stretches the layout. I still owe her a picture. Working on it slowly but surely.

I have a love-hate relationship with Monks. I really do. My first real character was Gray, a Battle Priest, and I went through the same stigma as other Battle Priests went through back in the day: "Monks are superior!" "Battle Priests suck!" "Oh, you're battle!" and all that garbage, which made me unfairly vent everything on Monks. At one point, I thought I'd try one. I liked the combo skills but hated the lack of SP Regen. Throughout several years, I ended up making and deleting Monks of all sorts of builds. Since Sura skills had came up, and they look awesome, I made a Monk for keeps this time. So back to Ninalyn's picture, since Teremy's a champ there, what about in-game?





Having a Champ is surreal. He's going combo again because Combo Champs are awesome. Maybe it's high time to dust off Gray and get him some levels, too.

Finally, I opened up commissions again on irowiki. I doubt anyone'll be interested, but just in case... XD I'm also offering these banners at 10 mil each. I was originally gonna offer them for 5 mil but Tris suggested that it was too low of a price.

Off to get the SinX to 90...eventually.

Norton Goback broke...

For unknown reason... my PC keep restarting over and over....
And today, norton goback  reported my something "bad sector" or whatever is it...

It suggest to run disk-check, and I did that...
After few restarts... the programs won't work anymore O.o
I keep try enable it... but no response...
(the prog unable to working after I scandisk it >.<)

Sigh.... maybe my HDD really had bad sector then, because yesterday I did heard tick of death :\
But my HDD still working....

I finally found one of these.
I've been going every now and then for about a week because I'm trying to improve my terrible shields. All I got out of it was 2 katar of raging blaze until I decided to go today. I was only there for about a minute before the card dropped. (:

And then I asked Ed to go to chiv with me and we found this.
At first I didn't even see it because I was trying to get an elu that was under all those brigans. After I picked up the elu though, I started to walk away and saw the card. 8D We found it fast too, it only took about 20 minutes and then I had to go to ET

ET was fun until we got to Ent and it took forEVER to kill. Our sin x had to go so she asked me to play it for her which was kinda fun since I've never played sin x before. 8D

I always thought the shadow morroc monster looked like a mud puddle, but it is apparently a chocolate.

And we got this while we were there, so I saw three good cards drop today!

Sooo I got tired of being looked at funny by our group because I refused to go into any rides/shows and went off by myself (you could barely fucking walk and I'm fucking agoraphobic, idek what the big deal with me not going in was, that didn't stop them from going in themselves and having fun I told them a lot of times I didn't mind staying outside by myself)...  I told bro I would go eat and he told me not to, because we would leave soon and go to Chili's.  SOOOOO I just went off and killed some time in the less crowded areas of the park until 2 hours went by.  Then I called bro and they were eating .______.;  So I went ahead and ate in the park.  Then I call bro again, it's 8.15pm already and he tells me they're gonna go see Shamu.

Fuck my life.

We ended up leaving at 9:30pm.

And 1.5hrs later in Austin, not 20' in front of us...  20 fucking feet, I kid you not...  a car swerves to the right, hits the guardrail...  AND FLIPS THE FUCK OVER!  O______________O  Luckily none of our cars were hit and we just kept driving (I wanted to stop and see if the driver was OK but like 5 other cars were closer to it and people were already checking/calling 911, also bro just wanted to get home).

The funny part is that these things make me wanna think: "FUCK IT, NEVER AGAIN!"  ...  But next year I'll be like: "FUCK YEAH, SEA WORLD, WOOOOOOOO!  LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"  I never learn u_u

NOW I'M HOME AND MY HEAD HURTS AND I WANNA CRY.  I want to call in sick tomorrow so bad but my attendance has been good for the last few weeks I don't wanna fuck it up ):

Worgen Racial Lore

   As promised, I am about to go into the Worgen lore that has spiked a considerable amount of interest and concern for fans of Warcraft lore. World of Warcraft is no stranger to the concept of retconning. Retconning is where Blizzard has taken existing Warcraft lore and changed it to fit in with what they want to accomplish in World of Warcraft. Today, this is about the Race/Species known as Worgen, later on I'll go into the Worgen Druids.

   The Worgen are originally from another dimension entirely from Azeroth. The world that the Worgen were drawn from is incredibly chaotic, and one where they constantly battle the "Lords of the Emerald Flame". It is a theory that the Worgen are from Xoroth, and that the Lords of the Emerald Flame are the Nathrezim. But, there is also upcoming information that more closely links the Worgen of this different dimension to Druids (but that's another post). Being from this other world the Worgen are intense killing machines, and do not have a human form. They are Worgen 100% of the time. You can encounter TRUE Worgen in-game in Silverpine and Ashenvale.

   The Worgen were studied from afar, though this is not stated as to HOW. Regardless, the mage Ur who did the studying did not summon them. In the Book of Ur, which is readable in-game, Ur states that Worgen sometimes filter into Azeroth through accidental magical means, but it does not seem to be in large packs or all at once. Ur does state that the Worgen he studied possessed magic of their own but did not care enough to attempt to come to Azeroth themselves. It's possible that they were much more concerned with using these powers to battle the Emerald Flame and regain their homeworld, but this is all theory. The Archmage Arugal is the one who actually did the summoning of the Worgen. He summoned them not for research, but to use them as brutal killing machines against the Scourge. It is only when the Worgen finally rebel against the mages using them that Arugal is guilt-ridden and takes them into seclusion with himself to Shadowfang Keep.

   Apparently at the same time on the continent of Kalimdor, Velinde Starsong was the leading force in battling demon forces in Felwood. The situation was dire, and she prayed to the Night Elf immortal Elune for help and guidance. Subsequently Velinde was magically given the Scythe of Elune, but it is debated whether or not it was actually given to her by Elune. The reasons Elune would have given one of her followers a weapon to bring destructive forces into Azeroth are iffy at best. Velinde uses the Scythe to summon the first Worgen to Kalimdor, and then uses them to battle the demonic forces. Velinde states in her journal that before summoning them she was able to communicate with them, which leads one to believe she may have asked for their permission to be summoned versus Arugal's possible abductions.

   The Worgen summoned by Velinde behaved differently from Arugal's. Although they were just as thorough in killing, they did not in the end turn against her or any other Night Elves anyone knows of. Velinde organized them, gave them leaders, and trusted them. Although both Arugal and Velinde used them to fight battles that were not the Worgen's, Velinde approached it as though she were fighting along comrades and not tools. It is true that Arugal took them to Shadowfang, and took them on as one would "children", that does not dictate any specific form of respect or genuine affection. Velinde may not have any real attachment to them, but she acts as though she recognizes them as beings that are not to be viewed as weapons. When she realizes that Worgen are being drawn to Azeroth without needing her, it raises her concerns and yet she treats them the same way. They listen to her, and do obey her when she orders them to stay in the Shrine of Mel'thandris until she returns, they obey her and waited (still waiting) although she never came back. Velinde may have been afraid of the Worgen, but she respected them enough to give them trust.

   At this point, Velinde is seeking Arugal who has locked himself away in Shadowfang. Arugal in further studying the Worgen in Shadowfang accidentally created a human/worgen hybrid, and that hybrid is what infected the nearby village of Pyrewood. From Arugal and Pyrewood came the first Azerothian Lycanthropes. I call the hybrid an infection because although it can be inherited, it was spread through the nearby physical and magical contamination. I won't call it a plague, because it was not widespread aside from the massive contamination of Gilneas (and really there were no lost lives as a direct result of becoming a lycan). Eventually Arugal is slain, and in Wrath resurrected to summon Worgen for the Lich King though primarily to infect the humans of Northrend with the curse. Of course, Arugal is slain again by local adventurers (probably the same ones who killed him the first time). Throughout his two lives Velinde never even reached him, her journey stopped in Duskwood before his first death.

   Velinde made it to Duskwood, and then completely vanished leaving only the Scythe. Whether or not she actually died is up to speculation, it is believed that she was drawn into the Worgen's dimension. Regardless, she's completely gone from Azeroth in all possible ways of existence (except the occasional haunting of a mine). The Worgen continued to wait for her in Ashenvale, and so ends her story thus far. The Scythe however continues on. It pops up as the target for several beings to want to possess but nothing really comes of that (unfortunately). In Northrend the Alliance seeks to ally with the human trappers, and in doing so sends adventurers to recover a stolen chest. When the chest is returned it is not-so-discreetly hinted that what was actually returned was the lost Scythe. Although the trappers are now Alliance-friendly, the person the chest was returned to was apparently part of the newly-resurrected Arugal's new wolfcult. This man, Ivan, is now thought to be the new wielder of the Scythe and possibly the new menacing controller of dangerous Worgen.

   In current Azeroth, there are few true Worgen left, and the most you will encounter will be half-forms. All of these hybrids are a direct result of Arugal's tampering with magic and the spreading of the curse to very direct, limited, and nearby vicinities (Gilneas). What I've laid out before you is literally all the information currently available regarding the Worgen race, though more will probably be revealed in my next post when I go into Worgen as druids. Anyway, I hope a few people found this informative/entertaining. Not expecting much of a response since this is fairly long-winded. Until next!

Starting the post with RO news: I logged 30 minutes to do my usual Rachel Temple grind and guess what.

 

Hodremlin Card. Dropped AFTER the drop event. I don’t even know how much is the current price of this card, but I hope to get money enough to buy a Nydhorgg’s Manteau.

 

BTW, I went to a deparment store a few days ago and found that ball for a very very cheap price.

My rogue is apparently an expert fence hopper.
I was getting yoyo tails to make fried monkey tails for the jewelry box quest and my rouge landed on the other side of the portal/fence. I ended up with 15 jewelry boxes and had HORRIBLE luck with them. I didn't get anything that was worth over 1mil. ):

Charlie did some little guild events the other day and I won 2 OCAs. One of them was Neraid and I was like blah.... untill I looked at the card art.
And now I love it. "OH GOD DON'T STOMP ON ME PLZ BIG PECO FEET!! /; A ;\"

We also did ET last night and I was a very helpful party member.







I mostly just looted everything and FCPed when it was needed and threw bombs if I felt like it. It was a lot of fun. 8D And now I'm gonna go see Despicable Me! (:
