Some old Sakray dude trying to get back into the swing of things

Vending stuffOctober 9, 2008
    That's been all I've been up to, felt kinda bad about peeps that tried to PM me and I just wasn't around. Sorry bout that. ^^;

     Well, it turned out I didn't get that Clock Tower Keeper card I wanted. One of my friends that said he'd help me out and I'd owe him for it later. But it was gone when I got back there. I did, however, manage to score a Loli ruri card for like 500k, I'm used to seeing them for about 2 Mil. I took that deal in a flash. :D

     One thing I really do have to have to mention about the Iris market is how wacky the prices seem to be, or atleast from my perspective. I mean, usually in Sakray, you could expect the price of an item to remain around the same, unless something happens to cause it to be more or less wanted. In Iris, it does have a common prices for items, them you have times where the item winds up being way more that it would be, and others where the prices is way cheeper than I'd ever thought it'd be. It's gonna take alittle getting used to. :)

     Trying to vend stuff right now to get the around 150k I need to buy an Ice Falchion. It'll be nice to have that so I can swap weapons around and not be stuck to fire weakness or bust like it has been since I got the Fireblend. Don't get me wrong, it's a great sword, it's just that it seems like alot of monsters are strong to fire as there are weak to fire, and I run into both alot. Having options would be great. :D

     After I get that Ice Falchion (if I do ><*), I'll probably be getting back to grinding. I wanted to wait to see if a friend I've gotten along with would come on, but I haven't seen her for about a week or so. Usually, that means they've quit or gotten a new main, and chances are, I probably won't be hearing from them again...

    I hate to be so depressing, but I always read so much about how people have these circles of friends that are usually around and they have a great time pretty often. I always wanted something like that. But it seems like everything I get a friend or too that's fun to be around, I usually don't hear from them again after that first week or too. :/ I'm starting to give up on that whole idea. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it has to be something up with me. I mean, there's no other way to explain why it happens all the time to me, is there?

I write again :)October 5, 2008
    About that last entry, which I decided to delete, dunno what came over me when I wrote that. >.>; Since I really didn't need it anymore and well, hated the thing after awhile, I got rid of it. I'm not going do what I was thinking about doing when I wrote it, mainly because it's more or less a backstab for something that could be considered trivial. Last I'll speak of it.

     Anyways, I decided to spent some time down in the yggdrasil tree, gathering herbs so I could actually buy some elus in bulk and upgrade my armor. I did sell the blue and white herbs I gathered, the yellows didn't for some reason, oh well. There's always next time for those. :) I didn't WoE last night because there was some unexpexted company over, just wish I knew about it sooner, so I could have given alittle more forwarning, oh well, that's how things go I suppose.

     Funny thing was, when I went to go and buy elus in the morning, everyone sold out of them. ><* Blargh! I did buy some cards that has some interesting potential. Got some Wormtail cards which will help out alot for when I decide to try and brew stuff and bought some geo cards for my aco friends. Saw a Clock Tower Keeper card up for sale for like 2M, I really wanted that card but was 500k short... ><* I have the rest of that set, just need that Keeper card to complete the set.

    I'm probably gonna go back to herb hunting, no one's really on right now, and I want that card! :)

Life as a VIT merchant going for AlchieSeptember 29, 2008
     Other than the WoE I did, I've been focusing on my other character Paint Roller mostly, because I'm so close to getting him to Alchemist, I've been focusing alot of my time on him. Well, that and helping people out, because I just love to do that. ^^;

    Alot of the time I spent lately was with this aco named -Yuniko-. I said hi to her and such ant it turned out she was about a level or two off from me, and since I knew we could be a big help to each other, I decide I'd tank her so we could party together. Spent Monday night tanking her on Payon 3, since that's about the most I can do with the armor I have right now.

    This weekend I mostly spent with her friends, and they were a big help. Went from Munaks and Bonguns to Mi Gaos and Evil Druids. And wow, I made about 2 levels and job level putting me at almost 61/46 now. It's nutty how fast it's all going, but I sure aren't complaining. XD

     Yuni isn't the only friend I've made, I've also met up with two to be monks, though I haven't seen them as much. I wanna type both thier names, but I can't remember how to spell them  right now ><*. I'll edit this part later I guess.

     I've also been on the hunt for getting a pet Munak. Well, I had one but it things didn't go so well with it. When I logged off, it's itimacy and hunger were both normal, and when I logged back it, it somehow got very hungry and shy. Then I left for a few mintues to eat dinner, it was still shy (I was dying alot, stupid Wootan fighters ><*) and normal hunger, and when I came back five minutes later, it ran off. I swear something wasn't right with that one... or maybe Munaks get hungry and lose itimacy faster than a poring does. I swear I never had this much trouble with my poring. Even with that weird lag spike I had when I was a mage and muted for an hour because of it, my poring stayed with me (can't feed it because of the item ban, which is bullshit ><*), even though it was very shy. I'm still gonna try and get another one, and make sure that whatever happened last time doesn't happen again. ><*

     It's things like this though that I pay my sub for making friends and gettin together and having fun. I guess that's why I don't play my wizard as much, that and how it's more laggy when I play as him usually. Why that is, I don't know. ><* It's just more fun playing with my merchant.. I mean, I'll still WoE with Simirror, and try to level him sometimes, but it just isn't as much fun as Paint Roller is right now.

     I think I am gonna make a little character to play with on Chaos when Paint Roller is an Alchemist, don't know what it'll be yet. I still have that mage that's almost wizzy, but I wanna do something else... I've had this want to make a Super Novice for a long time now, and make a Soul Linker. I dunno what else I want to try right now, but I think that I might go with that Super Novice on Chaos and have something to stalk Mel with. :)

    Well, that's about all I've been up to for the week. So until next time B> Old Portraits on Iris. :) I'll add in anything else when I think of it. :)

Textless Entry!September 21, 2008
Old Megatokyo pun this time. :P

Anyway, I decided to hang around Iris for just alittle, at least. I got all my characters there and so many unfinished things I've wanted to do, like get a homoculus or get my wizard transed. I might go along with an idea I had and try and transfer one of my characters over to Chaos, so I'll have something to do on both. Or maybe, I'll just start one of those projects I've always wanted to toy around with but never could, like that Super Novie built on speed and dodge, or that Soul Linker I've wanted to do forever now (you wouldn't think I just started back up 2 days ago reading that, would you? :P).

Anyways, yesterday... wow, crazy. I wanted to try and do what was niegh inmpossible on whatever internet route I had to go through in Japan to Sakray: get my wizard some levels (-.-;). Still easier said than done, though I blame some gremlins this time. At first, I thought taking a run back down into Glasthiem for old times' sake. Two times, I was able to make it to the portal without too much of a dragon horde chasing me down, but for some reason, when I clicked on the portal, my wizard shot off in some weird tangent, like hugging the walls. Now when your fairly squishy and have some of those flying jerks chasing you, this just doesn't work.

After a few tries to get around the Ridewords gaurding the portal to Clock Tower 3, I finally made it. Ran into a different problem though. For some odd reason, sometimes when I click to cast a spell, it just doesn't cast, which leads for alot of problems. Running into the same thing with my merchant, though it's kinda rare. I'l starting to wonder if maybe it's a computer problem or some known bug (I remember an Arashi member griping about this yesterday.). It would make sense why I'd drop dead for no good reason sometimes in Japan if it was some bug.

My merchant has also been an interesting trip. You see, I originally had this vision of making him part potter, part battle, and decided to save up on any and all brewing items I had. Upon realizing that not being able to afford a weapon that could outdamage my +5 Damacus or upgraded armor, I'd never be able to become an Alchemist in the first place, I started to dig through my items and start selling things like brewing items or anything that might be worth buying. The thing that helped jar me into this was seeing an edge for like 1.5M. I knew if I could get my stuff to sell, I probably could buy that weapon.

Sucks that Ro-Snipah is more or less dead, made it tricky to get what felt like the right prices, but I was eventually able to pawn off most the brewing and smithing items I had. I also managed to sell off some tames and two sets of slotted padded armor I got while poking around in Baylan. I didn't think it'd sell, but some guy did buy em off me. And as I went to go and restock some other items to sell, I saw that armor I just sold not even 5 minutes ago up for sale again with some card in it, lol.

I was doing this until I started of a chat with some folks, and one of thier guild mates was selling a Fireblend for 850k, and took em up on the offer. I also wanna try and get an Ice Falchion if I can, that thing looks pretty slick. Almost missed out of in when my 30 hour limit got reached. Yea, overnight vending with a 30 hour plan...not a good idea. I wouldn't recommend it... ^^;

So far, I think I like this, and I still want to get ahold of some more Oridicons so I can boost up my sword to pump out more damage. Also, going to work on getting more STR so I can do some better damage. It's kinda weird, because all of a sudden, what I want for my to be Alchemist has now changed. Good thing I decided to stock up on VIT, I was going to need it either way I went. I guess at this point, it's more deciding how much I want to intevest into potting. I'm not aiming to go for rankings, but maybe making up some whites or blues to sell at the most is about what I'm aiming for. Gotta find all those calculators all over again...ugh. ><*

I decided to go back with Arashi for WoE, which was a blast. What made it more cool was the fact that I had a mic that actually WORKED this time around, so no more typing during battle for me! :D This new WoE system, it's kinda whacky, but I think I like the idea of it. I haven't been on the attack yet, but from what I read, it sounds like it makes trying to capture a castle much more challenging, like you're actually making a move to capture a castle in olden days, with alot of defenses to get through, other than just a run through some annoying large house with portals.

Still, weather I decide to move a character around or try a different server, I'd say for the short run atleast, I'm back in action.

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!September 19, 2008
Excuse the silly title, but more or less, that's what's happened. Three years ago, I was a WoE wizzy on Sakray named Simirror in Arashi. Thanks to me being in the Navy, I had a hard time keeping up with my guildmates and thier events thanks to being on the other side of the globe. It made things pretty tricky for me. Eventually, thanks to that causing most of my RO adventures to pretty much be a glorified version of Secret of Mana, and a shitty switching network, causing me to only be able to kill stuff like Geographers, I decided it really wasn't worth it.

Chatting up with Melody today, I decided to get back into things. I had some mage that was meant to be like my Sakray wizzy, named Sakray's Simirrior, and I went to play around to and get myself back up to where I was. With better latency (I think), and a more better time zone, things didn't seem as bad. Then we toyed around playing on Iris, and low and behold, all my stuff's there! @_@; I thought it was all "Toasty, 3D!" when they pulled the plug on Sakray, but that wasn't the case. And I noticed on the sight, the guilds I knew as some of the best Sakray had to offer: Final Retribution and Arashi, was at the top.

With was Melody said about her guild breaking up, and with this potential getting back into my old guild and playing like it used to be before my time zone and lag killed my game, I'm looking here wondering "Iris or Chaos?". I mean, Chaos's gots Mel, and well a ton of other peeps, but it looks like Iris is was Sakray used to be, atleast at first glance.

So, I wanna put this question out there: What's going on in Iris and Chaos? If it's still kinda active and maybe slow like Sakray was, I'll probably keep my characters where they are. Right now, I dunno where I wanna go, and seeing on how I might help Mel chose if she hangs out in Iris more, I wanna make the right choice. Maybe I'm just worrying about things too much, but so what? What to do you expect from someone who chose to be 31337? :P
