November 19, 2008 - Sigh...™
While it may be light spending to some, today has largely been a financial disaster. 16m mostly gone down the tubes. Tidal shoes broke going to +5 on enriched elu, much lols to be had with that happening. The matching wool scarf I got to go with them in the event they survive made it to +6. I got greedy and tried to +7 it, and failed (naturally). Found one of those scarce electric fists, it broke going to +6. Much thanks to Cyril for giving me 4 magma fists, even if it's only because he has nothing better to do with them (can't imagine them selling with how many flood the market as it is); all but one broke going to +6, which I kept because at least it's an overupgrade. I also just found a seismic fist for sale. Thank god it survived to +6 as well, or I'd probably swear off upgrading for god knows how long. At least I already had the mandragora cards for it. Now I just need to somehow manage to save up enough zeny for 3 kaho cards, and she'll have the full set of carded, self-endowing fists. Shouldn't be too hard in theory. The main issue is that in practice, I get distracted far too easily by nifty new toys (I was supposed to be over halfway to a valk armor today).
Given my inability to hold on to any substantial amount of zeny for more than 1-2 days, I've decided to suspend the antelope horn hunt for the time being; at least until I manage to hunt up the cards for the gear I want to buy. Currently have my new little combo monk tearing up Byalan 4 for a marc card. Finding one and having it sit in storage should, in theory, force me to save for a valk armor. Or get sick of gambling on a depressingly low drop rate and just go and get the money for a marc from horns. Then an evil druid card, and raydric/matyr combo. With Ep.12 on the horizon, I think I can skimp on getting a s.infil since the mass murder katars are easily just as good. Will have to work on getting one of each, assuming they're not character bound. Otherwise I'll need both for Ryd and the SB/GT orientated one for Aes.
